Heidi @ Sacred and Profane has a Iron Chef challenge every month and I finally found one I can compete in. This months challenge is BBQ/Picnic Salads.
I can do salads. This one is a favorite of mine. In fact, I just made a big bowl of it for myself, and ate it all week.

Ramen Noodle Salad
Dressing Ingredients:
2/3 cups oil (I've used olive, vegetable, and grapeseed oils)
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
Salad Ingredients:
1 pkg. cole slaw mix
1 bunch green onions (chopped)
1 cup sunflower seeds
1 pkg. oriental ramen noodles (broken up, w/seasoning)
Mix all ingredients together. Serve.
I also have added raisins, or dried cranberries, for a little extra sweetness.
Party at Heidi's. Bring a salad to pass.

Oh YUM! We love this recipe - it's so tasty!
OOOOOO Bummer! That is so the recipe I was going to use. Now I have to use my incredibly subpar culinary resources to scrounge up another one.
oh, well...I find one somewhere.
Good Luck!
OMGosh, my grandma makes this and it is AWESOME! YUM
She uses chopped nuts...I think pecans instead of sunflower seeds. Delicious. Maybe I will have her try it with sunflower seeds too.
i'm too picky. so i won't eat that. but it sounds super yummy. okay. no it doesn't. lol. :0) i'm sure it is though my family has something similiar to that at family stuff. me. i just eat the plain stuff. or cheese and crackers. i bet i know some really good grapeseed oils though...lol.
This is yummy, I've had it. Now I am glad I have the recipe...
Hey, I'm just glad I can make "Ramen Noodles"....
I hate to cook!!! I'm weird. But I don't mind swinging off rope swings or getting stuck in sand at the beach. I'll leave cooking to the other moms!!! =0)
I love this salad and had thought of entering it - good I checked out your entry first. I think I'm gonna have to make this one soon, it is SO good!
